Léon Kyquemberg
Deputy Mayor for Public Works, the Economy and Independents
Everyone in Rebecq who has ever needed a helping hand knows Léon and his generosity. It was this desire to help others that encouraged him to get involved in politics in Rebecq, with the unfailing support of his family. From Town Councillor to CPAS, this insurance broker mechanic describes himself as “the old man” of the group.
What are your plans in terms of works?
Some major projects are planned in essential areas such as drainage. I will try to reconcile the requirements of the works with residents’ needs, and to use the municipality’s resources as effectively as possible.
What about businesses?
I plan to meet business managers and discuss future developments with them. We also need to consider issues such as environmental protection - an area where the applicable standards are generally complied with, in particular by the quarries. I would like to help businesses to operate smoothly and in harmony with the population.
Are the needs of persons with disabilities a particular concern for you?
Of course. This will be one of my priorities. For the last ten years, I have been involved with the association “La main dans la main” and I believe that this is an area where I can provide practical assistance.
