The Mayor and his office

The Mayor represents all the other levels of authority within the village.

As the “Chief magistrate” of the municipality, he chairs the Town Council and Board and is responsible for enforcing the laws issued by higher authorities. In addition to powers similar to those of a Deputy Mayor, the Mayor also has some specific powers, in particular in relation to safety and law and order.
